4 1/2 cups butter
6 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups molasses
12 cups flour
12 tsp of baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp of cloves
6 tsp of ginger
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, eggs and molasses.
In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt, cloves and ginger) and mix well.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well but do not over mix.
Sprinkle a surface with flour and roll out the dough. Cut out cookies using a gingerbread man/woman cookie cutter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly brown.
