There is nothing that compares to fresh marshmallows!

1.5 oz gelatin
1 cup cold water
4 cups sugar
1.5 cups corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tb vanilla
In the mixing bowl, add 1 cup cold water and sprinkle the gelatin into the water. Soak for 10 minutes.
Combine sugar, corn syrup, and 1/2 cup water in small sauce pan, bring to a hard boil for one minute. Pour boiling syrup into gelatin.
Add salt and mix at high speed for 12 minutes. Add vanilla and mix for one more minute.
Pour into buttered 13 X 9 inch pan. Let mixture sit for a few hours and cut into desired shapes. Coat with powdered sugar.
