2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 cups sauerkraut
1 head of cabbage
5 cups tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 tsp cornstarch with 2 tsp cold water
3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, blend sausage, beef, onion, eggs, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Cook rice and add to the meat mixture.
In a large pot, boil cabbage until a knife slides in easily. Remove the cabbage from the water and cut out the core of the cabbage.
Stuff the cabbage with the meat mixture and place in a deep casserole dish.
Top with sauerkraut and tomato sauce.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let sit for ten minutes before serving.
